Endodontics

endodonticsEndodontic or root canal treatment can become necessary to save a tooth or teeth if the pulp or nerve of the tooth becomes infected or damaged, typically through dental decay, or through injury. The procedure is often quite simple to perform, but under certain circumstances it can be intricate and necessitate specialist skills. Those specialist skills are particularly important if the tooth has had root canal work done previously, has been infected or problematic for some time, or the roots are curved, blocked or tricky to access..
Root canal is not a painful procedure, but sometimes requires the specialist skills referred to to give the tooth the best possible chance of success.
